Personally, I believe God gives every person certain abilities and has a plan for each of us.
We can either step into our calling or stubbornly avoid it — that’s within our own free will. God doesn’t force or limit anyone. We’re free to run our lives as we see fit.
I got lucky in that I understood the point of my life relatively early — to help other people.
I see the world as something like a children’s game of tag, where kids chase each other trying to catch and “freeze” whoever hasn’t been caught yet. And those still free try to run from whoever’s chasing them, while also trying to “unfreeze” the ones who’ve already been caught and are standing still.
I see three categories of people in real life:
- Those who “freeze” others. These are people involved in dark pursuits: alcohol, cigarettes, casinos, betting, pornography, fraud, esotericism, magic, tarot, and similar things.
- Those who are already “frozen.” These are people who’ve ended up in serious trouble through their own foolishness, gullibility, or carelessness. They’re already standing still, unable to move forward, because they’ve bumped into some kind of dependency and lost their freedom. A huge number of people are also stuck in serious financial trouble or unable to build healthy relationships with the people they love.
- The category of “free” people. These are the ones who’ve already won their battle against various dependencies and problems, and now want to “unfreeze” the people in the second category.
When someone with a happy family talks to someone struggling in their relationship, they can help that person — if they’re open and willing to listen.
Someone who’s climbed out of debt and gotten back on their feet can give advice to someone drowning in loans and credit.
People who’ve beaten a harmful addiction (porn, alcohol, drugs, gambling) can help those still fighting it.
Personally, I see millions of people in our country stuck in that second group, frozen in place, not understanding how to get their life in order. They’re weighed down by their own foolishness, poverty, illness, conflict, stress, and disappointment.
And that’s why I believe God awakens, in the hearts of those who are already free, a desire to help other people — to pull them out of the water onto solid ground, to help them get their life and their future in order.
That’s exactly where I see my purpose: to prepare as many people as possible in the “third team,” and together with them, “unfree” as many struggling people as possible.
That’s the reason I’m in education. That’s the reason I create so much (hopefully) useful content that people can find for free on my social media. That’s the reason I don’t burn out or get emotionally exhausted — sometimes only physically.
Because when God gives you a vision, He gives you the strength and all the resources to make it happen. God is the source of my motivation, and He provides me with everything I need.
