200,000 followers on TikTok

Two years ago my head was full of doubts: who needs my content, why should anyone listen to me. I managed to act in spite of those thoughts.

How has my life changed over the last two years?

Today my TikTok account crossed 200,000 followers.

When I started posting on TikTok back in May 2022, I never expected to gather more than 400,000 followers across different social networks in two years. It came as a complete surprise to me — and it still does.

I remember posting videos every day in June 2022 and thinking:

  • Who even needs my content?
  • Why should people listen to me? I don’t have ten diplomas…
  • I’m not an expert in this field
  • It’s probably too late to start a blog now…
  • Why would people follow me when there are plenty of other experts and bloggers on this topic?
  • And isn’t 500 UAH for a consultation too much?
  • How much longer can I keep posting content nobody watches? Maybe it’s time to drop this hopeless thing…

There were a lot of thoughts like that. In those months my videos were getting 200-300 views, and when one hit 700 I thought that was pretty good. I comforted myself with the idea that speaking to a hall of 700 people would be amazing.

Time passed, I lived through every stage of impostor syndrome and got used to the idea that my opinion has a right to exist online.

I read the negative comments and thought about where those people might actually be right about me…

After 43 days of posting 2-3 videos daily, I hit my first 1,000 TikTok followers. The second thousand came in three days. Then one video took off with 27,000 views, and the audience started growing like an avalanche.

Somewhere around July 2022, when my videos finally started to be of even the slightest interest to someone, I understood I would be doing this for the rest of my life. I felt like I was in my element.

In September I moved my school from a club format with a monthly subscription to themed courses. Thanks to the blog, five times more people signed up for the very first financial literacy program than usual.

Every course after that drew more students than before. Sometimes it was 50 people instead of 10, and sometimes 250 instead of the usual 10.

I raised my consultation prices every time my calendar filled up two weeks ahead. Today I charge ten times more for a single session than I did two years ago, before the blog started. We also began raising course prices as our team and video production costs grew.

I’m not telling you this to brag. I just want to inspire you and show that two years ago my head was full of doubts. But I managed to act in spite of those thoughts and fears.

Social media didn’t just give me a way to earn more. It didn’t just give me a virtual stage and a chance to speak. It didn’t just bring me dozens of fascinating people and hundreds of opportunities.

It radically changed my entire life, because it let me spend 100% of my time doing the work I love.

The greatest meaning and value I see is in being a conduit for knowledge and experience, and in being part of the changes in other people’s lives.

Thanks to social media, thousands of students from all over the world now study every year at our New Lifestyle school.

If you realize your head is full of fears, insecurities, doubts and contradictory thoughts — you’re not alone in that. Every person I know who has results goes through it.

And you’ll get through it too, if you learn to act in spite of fear and doubt. We’ll help you with that through our educational content, both paid and free.

And maybe in a year or two you’ll write to me that your life has changed as well, because you gave a couple of hours to figuring out what fantastic opportunities the internet offers and how lucky we are to be living on Earth in exactly this period of time.
