Half of a long list beats 100% of a short one. My 2023 results: 23 goals out of 50 closed, and content finally split into separate themed accounts.
Like a lot of people, at the end of every year I sit down with my laptop for a couple of hours to take stock of the past 12 months. To look at what I managed to do and what I didn’t.
This year was demanding and full at the same time.
About the goals. I had 50 of them for the year. I closed 23. A little under 50%. But overall I’m satisfied. This is the case where half of a long list is better than 100% of a short list with 7 items on it.
On the strategic side, we launched several new content lines, each with its own theme.
My main account used to have all the videos mixed together: relationships, money, business, growing an audience, personal growth.
For you, my subscribers, that was chaos. You’d see a video about relationships, subscribe, and then I’d start talking about business or blogging. Or the other way around: you subscribed after a video on public speaking, and here I am talking about men cheating.
We managed to split all of these topics across several separate accounts:
- @newlifestyle — videos about money, business and marketing
- @creativelifestyle — how to create and distribute content
- @spirituallivestyle — conversations on spiritual topics
- @itlifestylenation — podcasts about IT, artificial intelligence and the digital world
My main account kept relationships and personal growth, plus a bit about my own life through text posts like this one.
We record 95% of all our material at the Radio M studio in Kyiv. This year they offered me a show of my own there, so I’m slowly settling into the role of a radio host.
None of our media work would have been possible without the great team that came together over the past year, but I’ll tell you about them in the next post.
And how was your 2023? Was it a hard year?

Reading helps, but what changes a life is specific steps, not reading. Fifty minutes of conversation is usually enough to see which steps are yours.
