2023 in Review

2023 in Review

Instead of an inspiring year-end post — three real mistakes of 2023: losing focus, delaying decisions, and never doing my homework on my own problems.

I’m supposed to write something positive and inspiring here. But what I want to talk about are my real mistakes:

  1. Losing focus in what I do. Trying to sit on several chairs at once meant part of my energy and resources went to waste.

When you start developing new projects before you’ve set up the system in your core business, everything moves slowly.

  2. Several times my inner voice told me exactly what to do. I hesitated. And I missed good opportunities. Thinking things over for a long time is sometimes useful, and sometimes it’s the very factor that reduces everything to zero.

  3. I often skipped my “homework” and didn’t research the problems and situations I was running into. If you dig into Google and YouTube for 20–30 minutes, you can learn a huge amount about the problem that just showed up in your life. Neglecting that simple step costs a lot.

There are other mistakes I made in 2023 too. These 3 I consider the main ones. I’m not beating myself up over them right now. That’s pointless. Better to draw the right conclusions and move forward.

For the past few months I’ve had a steady feeling that I was naive for a long time about a number of very important things. Reality does a very good job of trimming away all the rose-tinted beliefs.

For me, 2023 was the year of creating and distributing content. That direction had an enormous impact on my whole life.

My plan for 2024 is to go even deeper into media and teaching people, and to do it better.

What actually comes of it, we’ll see soon enough.

Man proposes, God disposes.

So what are you expecting from 2024? What was your 2023 like?

Reading helps, but what changes a life is specific steps, not reading. Fifty minutes of conversation is usually enough to see which steps are yours.
