I ran seven online sessions in a single day — my personal anti-record. Why that load is brutal, and what to do when the calendar simply won't stretch.
Today I ran seven online sessions. That’s my personal anti-record.
Five were consultations and two were mentoring sessions with regular clients. It’s an anti-record because I can run three or four conversations a day well and effectively, no more. Five or six is already exhausting. Seven in a day is simply a killing load.
Between clients I sat down a couple of times to play Counter-Strike 1.6. It switches your head over quite well.
I scheduled that many conversations for today because my calendar is packed for the next two weeks and new people have to wait a very long time.
It’s a shame you can’t clone yourself. For many people the situation in their relationship is very acute and they needed help yesterday. When they come to me and realize they have to wait another two weeks, many of them feel discouraged. So do I.
I’m already thinking about who else I could recommend besides my wife Nastya, because there are dozens of requests and the calendar isn’t made of rubber.
And this month I even took a break from running courses. When we’re teaching at the New Lifestyle school, I have even less time.
How do you handle a heavy workload? What do you do when ten clients need urgent help and your time is very limited?
