Searching for Justice Leads to Suffering

Searching for Justice Leads to Suffering

Five ideas that help me get through difficult and dark periods. The first one is accepting that there is no justice on this Earth.

How do you survive difficult, traumatic events?

There are a few things that personally help me cope with hard and dark periods:

  1. There is no justice on this Earth. There simply is NONE. I remember how hard and painful it was for me to accept that idea. But the moment I made peace with it, my life got better. I stopped looking for someone to blame, stopped asking “but why? but who?” and other questions that lead nowhere.

  2. Searching for justice leads to suffering. We will never understand why some people suffer and die while others go on living.

  3. The highest justice belongs to God. He is the supreme judge, and in His time He will give everyone their due. When we take His role upon ourselves, it turns out to be more than we can carry.

  4. When things are hard and heavy, I remind myself that it will not always be this way.

  5. Sometimes a dark stretch in our life becomes a runway. Because it is crisis and upheaval that can teach us something new and tear down the strongholds in our thinking.
