Yesterday I wrote that I have been publishing one text post on social media every single day for 200 days in a row.
It pays off. This format has its own audience, and we have sold quite a lot of our products through text alone.
There are plenty of solid experts around me who earn nothing at all through their blog. They live on word of mouth and the occasional random referral.
That happens because many people are afraid to openly offer something to anyone in public. There is impostor syndrome. There is the fear of being judged.
All kinds of questions run through their heads: what if my product or service doesn’t solve the client’s problem? And who is going to listen to me anyway? I don’t even have a formal degree in this field…
The good news is that 99% of the time only the people you can genuinely help will come to you. Those who see further and wider than you won’t become your clients — they’ll go to someone more experienced. Like attracts like.
To sell online with confidence, you simply have to stay out of grey niches and questionable products — whether it’s a physical product or a service.
You will never find me advertising a scam project. I don’t promote people I don’t know personally or whose work I don’t consider ethical.
Online, first you work for your reputation, then your reputation works for you. That’s why 99% of what I recommend are my own products and services — because I can personally stand behind their quality.
I’m lucky to live in a time when many people with excellent knowledge and experience are simply afraid of anonymous hate online.
For them it’s enough that user84237 woke up in a bad mood today and is ready to leave angry comments under their posts — and they give up on their dream and keep going to a job they hate from 8 to 5.
As a result, there are few authors and a great many people with problems. So the ones who earn are not the best specialists, but the ones who are braver and not afraid to tell the world about themselves.
You can be a genius, but if only 15 people know about you, even the mouse in your fridge will starve. On top of that, you’ll watch 18-year-old girls make millions of hryvnias on Instagram without having even 1% of your experience and expertise.
