When a woman pushes hard on a man's decisions, he ends up in a mental straitjacket and starts to suffocate. On control, jealousy and personal boundaries.
In the last two posts I wrote about six important questions that shape a man’s self-esteem. If you want to understand the psychology of the man you love better, read them.
In a relationship, one of the biggest fears for a normal man is that a woman will limit his free will.
When a strong man hears from the woman he loves what he should do and how he should do it, he shrinks, shuts down, pulls away.
When a woman tries to force her way into her man’s decisions and behavior, she cuts him down emotionally and psychologically. He feels like he’s in a kind of mental straitjacket that won’t let him breathe freely or move through life. He starts to suffocate.
If you want a strong, growing, loving man beside you — don’t interfere with his free will. Let him build his life according to his vision instead of imposing yours on him.
Our free will was given to us by God. Even He never breaks a person over His knee; He gives them the right to live the way they choose. Imagine the arrogance of a person who takes on a role bigger than our Creator’s!
My free will ends where another person’s free will begins.
So if you want a happy relationship with a man, remove anxiety, control, jealousy and any form of managing the man you love from your relationship.
If you do somehow “succeed” in subduing your husband and he starts doing everything you want without question, you’ll be left with no respect for him, no sexual attraction, no future, nothing…
That’s why the best thing a woman can do in a relationship is to work on herself, her own life and her own growth.
This principle does not apply to situations where a man is actively piling up debt, harming his health, lying to you, cheating, living with an addiction — or, worse, raising a hand against you. In those circumstances you need to act and fight the problem.
And how do you react when someone crosses your personal boundaries and interferes with your free will?

Texts give you understanding, but your situation is always more specific than any text. Fifty minutes is usually enough to see where the problem actually starts.
