The outer world is just a printout of the inner one. Chaos around you starts as chaos in your thinking — and that's where you clear it up.
This principle feels extremely important to me.
Every time I see chaos and mess around me, I understand that first of all I’m allowing it in my own thinking and in my own head.
When you think clearly and coherently, when you make sound decisions, then the space around you, your work, your files on the computer and phone will also be organised and systematised.
To a certain degree, our outer world is just a printout of our inner world. What’s inside is what’s outside.
How do you actually start putting your world in order?
You can start with something very simple and ordinary. A thing like making your bed in the morning can be the first small step towards a more organised life overall.
For someone else the starting point will be a glass of water with lemon in the morning and taking vitamins.
You can start with anything. It doesn’t matter how disorganised and chaotic your life is today.
Once one good habit appears and settles in, we can grow the next one. And then another. And another.
I’ve heard that we spend 70% of the day on autopilot, mechanically repeating habits and behaviour patterns we formed earlier.
That’s why learning to build useful habits is the fastest and most effective way to change your entire life.
On October 28 our New Lifestyle school launches the “Time Management” course. It’s one of my favourite programmes. In it I share all the approaches and tools that let me build my life and get the results I want.
Do you agree with the idea that order in your head leads to order in your life?
