I don't know how to rest properly — there's some engine inside me that never stops turning. I'm realising I now have to plan my days off as seriously as I plan work.
Unfortunately, I belong to the group of people who don’t know how to rest properly. In my whole life I’ve only spent a long stretch lying by the water on a sun lounger a couple of times. And even on those rare days and weeks I was thinking about work.
There’s some strange engine inside me that I still don’t fully understand, and it keeps turning all the time.
For the past month I’ve been doing an enormous amount every single day. I wake up, drive to the office and work 10–12 hours on several projects.
We’re launching a studio for reels and podcasts, at the same time I’m preparing new course groups, we’re setting up the office, I run 3–4 consultations a day, and I’m taking a new training programme myself.
Even on the days when I’ve moved a huge amount forward, I can still come home and keep polishing something.
Maybe I value time to an exaggerated degree and try to use it as productively as possible. Or maybe I just think this is the season of life when I’m not weighed down by big obligations, so I’m putting all my attention into reaching a new level — I don’t know.
The only thing I understand is that now I really do need to plan my days off, and actually rest on those days. Otherwise I’ll burn out. Or my family will start to suffer.
Nastya has already started writing posts and stories about missing me. So tomorrow I’m giving myself a day off.
And how do you rest? Are you prone to workaholism?

Reading helps, but what changes a life is specific steps, not reading. Fifty minutes of conversation is usually enough to see which steps are yours.
