90% of the opportunities in our life walk on two legs. The most valuable thing my blog brings me is not money or fame — it's the people.
A principle that changes your life.
It goes like this — “surround yourself with professionals”.
I often say on my blog that 90% of the opportunities in our life walk on two legs. And in exactly the same way, 90% of our problems walk on two legs too.
Our skill at choosing the right people for our circle directly determines the quality of life we will have.
I try to surround myself with professionals, and I try to ask them plenty of embarrassing, stupid questions.
The one who asks questions is a fool for five minutes; the one who doesn’t ask stays a fool for life.
It matters to me to stay as open as possible and to try things I haven’t done before. Your current level of understanding = your current results. If you want better results, new ideas and strategies have to get into your head.
Today we recorded a podcast with Aleko. We talked about creating viral video, monetisation, social media algorithms, audience psychology. We got three very useful videos out of it, and you’ll be able to see them on the Creative Lifestyle page.
Every month Aleko pulls in around 50-70 million organic views. Everyone I showed his profile to said: “I’ve come across this guy on TikTok.” So he definitely knows how to create viral content.
After the studio we went to a restaurant with Aleko and talked for a few more hours about all sorts of things.
For some people, building a personal brand and growing an audience is first of all a story about money or popularity. My own view is that the most valuable thing my blog brings me is a brilliant circle of people.
We are drowning in an ocean of information right now, yet we are dying of thirst for wise, conscious conversation. Sometimes thirty minutes with the right person can save you years of trial and error and help you reach a new level.
So if you are thinking about growing your own audience on social media, it is worth doing not only for the money and the recognition, but for the diamond-grade people it brings. A blog brings the right people into your life.
Are you happy with the people around you? Do you feel that we are drowning in an ocean of information while dying of thirst for real conversation?
It is rarely a lack of knowledge
Income runs into thinking and habits, not information. In a session we work out what is actually holding you back and what to do about it in the coming weeks.
